MARTIN COUNTY — Martin County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Port St. Lucie man on alleged child sex crimes.
A Martin County Sheriff’s deputy posed as a 14-year-old girl and communicated with 24-year-old Jamal Howard Jacas.
According to MCSO, during the online conversations, the undercover detective clearly and repeatedly stated she was 14.
Jacas continued to communication despite allegedly being aware of the juvenile’s age.
They agreed to meet in Martin County after being told that the juvenile’s mother would be asleep, according to MCSO.
Jacas was arrested at the meetup located and was charged with:
• Traveling to seduce, solicit, or lure a child to commit a sex act
• Unlawful use of a two-way communication device
• Use of a computer to solicit a child to commit a sex act
Jacas was booked into Martin County jail.
