GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Monday, crews will begin work to repair a sinkhole in Alachua County near Southwest 24th Avenue.
Drivers should expect detours in that area.
Southwest 24th Avenue will be closed between Southwest 91st Street and Southwest 87th Way while the repair work is completed.
Anyone exiting near the Shannon Woods neighborhood along Southwest 88th Street will only be able to travel east on Southwest 24th Avenue.
Additionally, a road resurfacing project in Ocala is also expected to impact traffic.
Closures began Sunday night for Southwest 19th Avenue Road.
This affects the stretch from Southwest 27th Avenue to Southwest 17th Street.
Closures are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday. More closures are expected through Jan. 30.
