Orlando Bloom took a swipe at ex Katy Perry on the Golden Globes red carpet. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor made an awkward jab suggesting that their 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove is the only girl he can trust nowadays.
The actor was on hand at the ceremony to present the award for Best Non-English Language Motion Picture alongside Minnie Driver and was asked on the carpet about Daisy’s Christmas list where she asked for a “boyfriend and a cat”
Orlando responded: “That’s kind of nuts, right? But I was the boyfriend so that’s the good news halleluiah! She’s gonna marry me, finally a woman I can trust!”

However, the actor quickly made it apparent that he was joking, he abruptly added: “By the way that is Chris Rock’s joke, not mine! Chris Rock was like, ‘you had a daughter? Amazing finally a woman you can trust’.”
The awards’ ceremony may have brought up emotions for Orlando as he first met Katy at a Golden Globes after-party back in 2016 and they quickly started dating. The pair briefly broke up a year later before reuniting and getting engaged in 2019. They announced they were expecting a baby the following year (2020) and remained engaged until they split in June 2025 and now co-parent.
The 48-year-old added that Daisy “is the best, the sweetest, she is so happy, I am lucky to have her” and hinted that she may follow in Katy’s footsteps revealing that she “has a pretty cool voice”.
His comments comes after Katy took her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to the next level, spending the holidays with him and sharing loved-up snaps to her 201 million Instagram followers.

Elsewhere during the Globes, Orlando revealed that he caught up with fellow actor Dwayne Johnson who was nominated for Best Actor for his work in The Smashing Machine.
Orlando gushed: “I just saw Dwayne who did such amazing work in that movie, I did a movie similar called The Cut and we were talking about the differences – He went big, I went small but its cool to see people, pat on the back you know.”
