Cape Coral police and forensics units were on the scene of a robbery at a 7-Eleven on Andalusia Boulevard overnight.Units were called to the scene near Diplomat Parkway East around midnight. The Cape Coral Police Department is now seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in the armed robbery that took place.The CCPD said the store clerk was robbed after the suspect brandished a firearm.The clerk told officers that a white man in a gray long-sleeve shirt with a big hat pulled out the gun and showed it to her and then told her, “Don’t try to be a hero.”The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, and then the suspect fled the scene.Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information is encouraged to call the CCPD at 239-574-3223.
