Taking a brief look ahead to the 2026 offseason, how much salary cap space do the Jacksonville Jaguars currently have available?

According to Over the Cap, the Jaguars are in the red at the moment. By OTC’s calculations, Jacksonville is $7.78 million over the projected 2026 salary cap.

Only seven NFL teams have less cap space than the Jaguars.

Now, don’t worry, there are ways for General Manager James Gladstone to create more room.

This can be accomplished by restructuring certain contracts, which pushes salary cap charges to future years, while freeing up space in the present.

A contract extension, depending on how it is structured, is another way to free up cap space in the current year.

Then, of course, there are veteran cuts. If a player’s cap hit is larger than the dead cap hit they leave behind, salary cap space can be created.

Along with all of that, as has been the case recently, the actual NFL salary cap could be higher than what the current projections are.

The Jaguars also have $11.67 million in cap space following the conclusion of the 2025 season. That amount can be rolled over into 2026.

Here is a quick look ahead to who the Jaguars’ free agents are this upcoming offseason.
