ORLANDO, JODY L. (EASTMAN) 49, of West Greenwich, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, January 9, 2026. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Dennis A. “Denny” Orlando Jr. in 2007. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of Kathleen D. (Deery) Raboin and Donald V. Eastman and his wife Charlie, all of West Greenwich. Jody was the stepdaughter of the late Robert A. Raboin.
Raised in Coventry, Jody graduated from Coventry High School in 1994. Jody was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She had a passion for caring for special needs children. Jody was employed at the J. Arthur Trudeau Center for several years. After her husband’s untimely passing, Jody returned to Academia and graduated from Rhode Island College in 2017, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. This was quite an accomplishment as a young widow and single parent. Jody began her career as a special education teacher at the age of 41. She was employed in the Johnston School System and previously in the West Warwick School System. Jody was a gifted artist, seamstress, and crafter. She also loved to care for her fur babies, as well as fostering additional pets.
Jody was the mother of Libby Jade Orlando (Matthew) of East Greenwich. She was the sister of Jessica L. O’Connell (Timothy). Jody was the beloved companion of Michael Trudeau.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visiting hours on Wednesday evening, January 14, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry. Interment at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter will be private.
