Florida mother accused of son’s murder after calling 911 to report the crime

LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida mother is accused of killing her son and calling 911 to report it.

Deputies with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office (PSO) say they responded to the area of Drexel Road in Land O’ Lakes to investigate the homicide of a juvenile boy.

The suspect is the boy’s mother, who also reported the incident to dispatch just before 10 a.m. on Sunday, according to PSO.

The cause of death has not been released as the investigation is ongoing.

PSO said they believe the incident is isolated, and there is no threat to the public at this time.
