The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3) played like a team that flew into London on Saturday morning. Only, that was the Los Angeles Rams (5-2), as the Jaguars showed up nearly a week early.
The result? An unexpected sleepy Jags team who fell to a charged-up Rams team, 35-7.

Jacksonville looked like a mess of a football team, one that wasn’t ready against one of the better teams in the NFL. As a result, they dropped their second straight game and head into the bye week with plenty of issues to clean up.
RECAP: Jaguars lose to Rams 35-7 in London
Here are our takeaways from the team’s Week 7 loss.

The game began ugly and never really got better consistently for Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who struggled to string together good throws.
With about 11 minutes left in the game, Lawrence had posted 16 completions on 36 attempts for 185 yards. He rarely connected with players down the field, getting a 39-yard pass to Dyami Brown, a 24-yard pass to Brian Thomas Jr. and an 11-yard pass to both Travis Hunter and Parker Washington. Receiver Tim Patrick finished with one catch for 22 yards after being ruled out with a groin injury.

The Jaguars were well on their way to a loss, trailing 28-0 before Lawrence strung together a solid drive.
Lawrence connected on three-straight deep passes (21, 25 and 34 yards) that ended with a touchdown to Hunter. It was the team’s first score of the game, leaving them trailing 28-7. It was Hunter’s first touchdown of his NFL career.
Lawrence finished 23 of 48 for 296 yards and a touchdown.
Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams make it look easy against Jaguars defense

Even without All-Pro wideout Puka Nacua, the Rams didn’t appear to skip a beat in the passing game.
In the first half of action, Stafford completed 15 of 20 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns.

His top receiver was Davante Adams, who caught four passes for 34 yards and two touchdowns on six targets. Stafford spread the ball around, too, completing passes to nine different targets. One of those passes was a five-yard touchdown to rookie wideout Konata Mumpfield.
Rams running back Kyren Williams mustered 32 yards on seven carries in the first half, giving LA some room in the running game to work off of Jacksonville’s fronts.
The Jaguars stopped L.A. just once in the first half, forcing a punt on the Rams’ third possession of the day. Otherwise, Jacksonville gave up three touchdowns and the Rams opted to go into halftime with about a minute left with the ball in their hands.
It wasn’t until the second half that Jacksonville’s defense showed some life, stopping the Rams on four-straight drives to start the second half. The Rams totaled just 29 yards on four drives in the third quarter, punting on all four possessions.

That didn’t last long as the Rams were able to move the ball and control the clock fine in the fourth quarter. Eventually, Adams came down with his third touchdown of the game, finishing with five catches for 35 yards and three touchdowns.
In five career games against the Jaguars, Adams has nine TD receptions, with at least one in each game.
Jaguars make too many self-inflicted mistakes in first half
LONDON, ENGLAND – OCTOBER 19: Trevor Lawrence of Jacksonville Jaguars (#16) is sacked by Nate Landman of Los Angeles Rams (#53) during the NFL 2025 game between Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium on October 19, 2025 in London, England. (Photo by Dan Istitene/Getty Images)
The Jaguars squandered multiple opportunities to either extend drives, get touchdowns or stops on Sunday against the Rams.
The team was called for numerous penalties, most notably an illegal block in the back that wiped out a Washington punt return touchdown during the second quarter. Jaguars corner Jarrian Jones was the culprit.

Thomas continued his poor play with a critical drop on third-and-2 that was followed by a missed 50-yard field goal by Cam Little, who missed two kicks, including an extra point, last week against the Seattle Seahawks.
In the first half alone, the Jaguars accumulated 55 yards in penalties (five). That included two pass interference calls, an unnecessary roughness foul, a hold and the aforementioned block in the back. Jacksonville had another penalty for illegal formation, but LA declined it.
Exiting the first half, Jacksonville totaled just six first downs, going three of nine on third downs with 126 total yards, including 26 total net rushing yards and 100 net passing yards.
Lawrence missed a few players on throws, but didn’t get much help from his pass-catchers, either, with multiple plays that had no chance due to LA’s coverage. Lawrence finished the first half, completing 10 of 19 passes for 105 yards. The team’s top rusher was Travis Etienne with four carries for 10 yards.

The Jaguars finished the game with 13 penalties for 119 yards.
Travis Hunter finds the endzone for the first time this season

It was only a matter of time before Hunter found the end zone.
With 9:13 remaining in the game, Lawrence found Hunter down the field for a 34-yard score. Hunter beat Rams safety Quentin Lake for the score.
Hunter posted his best outing as a Jaguar. Up to that point of the game, Hunter had accounted for six catches for 85 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets.
Hunter finished the game with eight catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.
