TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – One Okeechobee County man woke up luckier thanks to a $30 scratch-off ticket.
Fifty-six-year-old Curtis McDugald claimed the $15 million top prize from the $15,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee in September, according to the Florida Lottery.
The Okeechobee County man chose to receive his winnings as one lump-sum payment of $8,968,000, the Florida Lottery wrote in a press release Tuesday.
McDugald purchased the ticket from the Okeechobee City Marathon.
