TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Former FSU football player Peter Warrick was named to the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame.
Warrick is one of 18 players selected from a national ballot of hundreds of players and coaches, becoming the 10th Florida State player to be inducted.
He was one of the most electrifying players in college football in the late 90s, helping the Noles win the 1999 National Championship and earning MVP honors with a legendary performance in the Sugar Bowl.
He finished his college career with 207 receptions for 3,517 yards and 32 touchdowns, 188 rushing yards and four touchdowns and passed for 95 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned 72 punts for 937 yards and two touchdowns and 11 kickoffs for 220 yards during his career, according to the National Football Foundation.
Warrick was a two-time All American in college and went on to play in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Seattle Seahawks.
Of the 18 players named to the Hall of Fame, 11 still hold school records, including Warrick, according to NFF.
The 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class will be inducted in December in Las Vegas. They will also be recognized at their respective institutions.
