STUART — An explosion at a construction site in Stuart sent three to the hospital.

According to Martin County Fire Rescue, crews responded at 2 p.m. to an explosion at a building under construction in the 3500 block of South Kanner Highway in Stuart.

Three men were injured after a vapor flash while relighting pilot lights.

Two were flown to a burn center and one by ground.

According to MCFR, the cause is under investigation.
