To the editor:
It seems like The Breeze publishes a letter by John Benedict nearly every week. Like many others, the letter writer rails against the “Socialistic Democrats” or the “socialistic agenda” of the news media.
In contrast, the writer gushes over Trump, who “leads America into a growing prosperous country” (Dec. 12, 2025).
That statement contradicts just about every financial metric, except Increased Wealth of Billionaires, including Trump, whose wealth grew by $3.5 billion in 2025. That’s a lot of Bibles and hats.
The Jan. 9 half-page letter goes into great detail about the COVID fraud in the “very blue state” of Minnesota. The letter fails to mention the “very red state” fraud in Texas and — wait for it — Florida, both among the fraud leaders.
The letter suggests Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s personal wealth of $30 million was “found” in the fraudulent Somali billions. Aside from slander worthy of FOX “news,” the letter writer does not seem to know how to fact check. (But Breeze staff does.) Ilhan Omar’s personal assets are about $15,000. The millions are her spouse’s investment assets.
Do better Breeze.
