ESTERO, Fla.—The frosty start to the day gave way to plenty of sunshine, but some people in Lee County still felt the chill.
At Florida Gulf Coast University, students embraced the cooler temperatures and enjoyed the weather at “The Nest”. Groups spread out across the lawn, some stopping by flower tables, while others rode their bikes around campus.
Stone Diel, an FGCU student, said, “Even though it’s cold, we’re still going to go out there and play volleyball.”
Lyla Ribeiro, another FGCU student, shared her thoughts on the weekend plans.
“We wanted to go to Miami for this concert this weekend, and unfortunately, hahahah we’re still gonna go, but the outfit isn’t gonna be as tea unfortunately,” said Ribeiro.
Despite the chilly weather, the FGCU Eagles remained undeterred in their activities.
