POLICE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR THE MAN IN THE VIDEO. THEY SAY ASSAULTED SOMEONE, SOMEONE WHO LIVES ON MIRAMAR AND YORK STREETS THINKS THE SAME PERSON CAME BACK LAST NIGHT NEAR CORONADO PARKWAY. THAT HAPPENED RIGHT OVER HERE NEAR MIRAMAR STREET IN CAPE CORAL. NOW TODAY I SPOKE WITH A WITNESS WHO SAID HE SAW A MAN POINTED GUN AT ANOTHER MAN AND HE SAID IT THIS QUICKLY AFTER CREATED A HUGE MASSIVE POLICE SEARCH IN THIS AREA. >> GO TO WATCH WHAT’S HAPPENING. AND I SEE THIS GUY. THIS MIGHT GENTLEMEN IS HOLDING ONLY A GUY WAVING A SOME OTHER GUYS FACE. AND I’M I LOOK BACK ON MY OWN. THE OTHER GUY. YOU JUST WATCHED HIM AND SMACK ANOTHER MAN THEN POINTED GUN AT HIM. I SPOKE WITH JOSHUA VAN OVER THE PHONE TODAY WHO WITNESSED THURSDAY’S FIGHT A COUPLE BLOCK SOUTH OF CAPE CORAL PARKWAY HEADED AFTER HE SAW HIS SHOES. JUST SLIDE. US BACK IN THE HOUSE AND VICTIM SAID HE SAID THAT BECAUSE HE WAS LIKE GUYS GOING NOW. GONNA JUMP OUT THE BACK OF THE BATHROOM WINDOW LEAVE AND SURE ENOUGH. THAT’S WHAT HE SHORTLY AFTER AT LEAST A HALF A DOZEN POLICE OFFICERS SEARCHED ALONG THE MIRAMAR STREET TO LOOK FOR THE SUSPECT. THEY BROUGHT IN A HELICOPTER CANINES AND DRONES BUT NEVER FOUND HIM. NEIGHBORS WERE TOLD TO STAY INSIDE. I’VE NEVER SEEN THAT OVER. KNOW, THAT’S A LIE. >> WALKING AROUND WITH LIGHT RIFLES AS SNOOP LIKE. >> MOLLY’S BUT TO BE UP MOVE WE ALSO SPOKE WITH SOMEONE WHO THINKS HE HAD A RUN-IN WITH THE SUSPECT THURSDAY. HE SAYS HE EVEN POINTED A GUN AT HIM IF SOMEBODY OUT IN THE TRASH CANS THAT THE COPS ARE LOOKING PROBABLY 10, 30. >> AND THE GUY HAD COME BACK FOR THE GUN AND A STALL. >> I HAD A SHOTGUN ON THEM. BUT I THINK IF THEY REALIZE THAT I WASN’T REALLY GONNA KILL ME, STARTED THE ON THE STREET. 24 HOURS LATER, RESIDENTS REMAIN FEARFUL, HOPING POLICE FIND THE SUSPECT, JOB TO ALL THAT. YOU HAVE TO BE CAUTIOUS OF LIKE WHERE YOU ARE ARGUING ARE SEEN AS FIGHTS THAT HAPPENED THERE BUT ONLY WITH A GUN, ESPECIALLY THAT CLOSE. >> AGAIN, NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE AS OF RIGHT NOW, THE CAPE CORAL POLICE TO CONFIRM WITH ME THAT THE VICTIM IN SUSPECT HAPPENED TO KNOW EACH OTHER. Cape Coral police on the hunt for suspect after assault near Miramar Street

Cape Coral police are still searching for the person responsible for an assault on Thursday. Witnesses say a man threatened someone with a gun near Miramar Street. Gulf Coast News spoke with people who said this fight sparked a massive police search. “I see this guy, this white gentleman, is holding a gun, waving it in some other guy’s face,” said Joshua Vaughn. Joshua Vaughn watched a man smack another man, then point a gun at him. Shortly after, at least half a dozen police officers searched along Miramar Street to look for the suspect. They brought in a helicopter, K-9s, and drones to assist in the search. Neighbors were also told to stay inside. Gulf Coast News also spoke with John Bonvardo, who thinks he had a run-in with the suspect Thursday. He says he even pointed a gun at him. “I heard somebody out in the trashcans that the cops were looking for, around probably 10:30 a.m. The guy had come back for the gun…I had a shotgun on him, but I think after he realized that I wasn’t really going to kill him, he started running on down the street,” said John Bonvardo. Twenty-Four hours later, residents remain fearful, hoping police find the suspect. “I’ve seen arguing, I’ve seen fist fights that, that happen there, but nothing with a gun, especially that close,” said Vaughn. Cape Coral Police confirmed the victim and suspect know each other.
