On Monday, Jan. 12, at 12:06 a.m., officers with the Cape Coral Police Department responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store at 1540 Andalusia Blvd, Cape Coral, in reference to an armed robbery in progress where a male brandished a handgun, grabbed cash and fled. Based on the circumstances, the Violent Crimes Unit was notified and assumed the investigation.

According to a report from the CCPD, during the investigation, a white four-door Chevrolet Malibu was identified as being involved in the robbery and potential suspects were developed.

On Friday, Jan. 15, a search warrant was executed by Cape officers at the residence indicated on the Malibu’s vehicle registration. A traffic stop was also conducted on the Chevrolet Malibu and the driver, and sole occupant, was identified as Yoise Ernesto Cintra Maymir, 29. He was subsequently arrested for possession of cocaine (crack cocaine) and had a gun in his waistband that was similar to the one used in the robbery at 7-Eleven, police said.

Located in the home during the search warrant were several clothing items that were similar to the ones worn by the suspect during the robbery, according to the police report.

Cintra Maymir was additionally charged with robbery with a firearm.

In additiob, police reported, Vicente Gonzalez, 51, was also arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm.
