CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the social media post of a Clay High student and there are no verified threats to the school.
The sheriff’s office said on its Facebook page that the student got into an altercation on Friday and the student made a post holding what appeared to be a firearm.
Officials interviewed and searched the involved parties, determining that the post was about a previous fight and the picture depicted an airsoft pistol.
CCSO said it is still investigating and there are no known threats to the school. To be cautious, additional deputies will be on campus Tuesday morning.
Everyone is encouraged to say something if they see something. You can report tips using the SaferWatch App, FortifyFL app, or call (904) 264-6512.
