For the second year in a row, portions of North Florida are experiencing snow.According to the National Weather Service, around 5 p.m., portions of northwest Florida Panhandle along with South Alabama began to report snowflakes.By 6:30 a.m., the NWS was able to establish a rain/snow line, which moved over the western tip of the panhandle near Pensacola.The latest: Weather coverage from WPBF 25 News By 8:30 a.m. the National Weather Service said moderate to briefly heavy snowfall continued near Bruce, Florida which is in Walton County, up to Dawson, Georgia.Parts of Interstate 10 in Florida’s panhandle along with Chipley and Milton were areas that experienced snowfall.As the cold weather line moved northwest around 10:15 a.m., the snow transitioned into rain as the snow decreased.On Jan. 21-25, 2025, a record-breaking winter storm brought significant snowfall to Gulf Coast states, including Florida.Tallahassee, the capital of Florida, accumulated 1.9 inches of snow over two days. Snow and sleet were seen as far east as Interstate 75 down to Taylor County in the Big Bend region of Florida.
