Cape Coral is ready to kick off its special event season, bringing the community together with music, holiday fun and family-friendly activities. As the weather cools down, the city comes alive with lots of exciting events designed to celebrate the season in true Southwest Florida style.
Trunk or Treat – Oct. 24
Next up, families are invited to City Hall on Friday, Oct. 24, for Cape Coral’s largest Trunk or Treat — a Halloween celebration unlike any other in the area. This year, the event starts an hour earlier than before, kicking off at 5 p.m. exclusively for children ages 5 and under, allowing younger participants more space and time to enjoy the fun. At 6 p.m., kids of all ages are welcome. The free festival will feature an expanded lineup of attractions, including inflatable games, a trackless train, a dazzling drone show, a costume contest, an outdoor movie and more seasonal surprises.
Veterans Day Parade – Nov. 8
On Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m., Cape Coral honors its heroes with the annual Veterans Day Parade. This patriotic tradition offers residents a chance to pay tribute to those who served in the Armed Forces and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. With decorated floats, community groups, and marching bands lining the parade route, it’s a poignant and meaningful event that embodies Cape Coral’s spirit of gratitude.
Holiday Nights on the Lawn – Nov. 28 & 29
The holiday magic continues Thanksgiving weekend with Holiday Nights on the Lawn at City Hall, taking place Friday, Nov. 28, and Saturday, Nov. 29. The two-night celebration will feature the lighting of Cape Coral’s festive tree and menorah, along with a market-style vendor village, food trucks, inflatables, ice skating, a trackless train and special visits from Santa Claus. The seasonal atmosphere will be brimming with family-friendly fun, perfect for kicking off December’s wave of holiday cheer.
December events
As winter rolls in, Cape Coral’s event calendar stays full:
Reindeer Run – A fun, spirited holiday-themed race for runners and walkers of all ages.
Holiday Boat-a-Long – A tradition that brings decorated boats to life along the waterfront, dazzling crowds with lights and holiday music.
New Year’s Eve Celebration – Cape Coral closes out the year with its signature party, welcoming 2026 with entertainment, festivities, and fireworks.
A season of sunshine and celebration
While friends and family up north are salting icy driveways, Cape Coral residents will be salting margaritas and enjoying the warm breezes of the Gulf Coast. This special event season offers something for everyone — from roaring motorcycles to glowing holiday lights — all set against the backdrop of a city that knows how to celebrate community.
Whether you’re a long-time resident or visiting Southwest Florida for the first time, Cape Coral’s upcoming events promise joy, connection, and unforgettable memories. Mark your calendar and come join the fun. Visit capecoral.gov/events for more information, dates and times.
