A little girl died at the hospital after her and two other kids ran into the street and were hit by a truck, according to officials.
TAMPA, Fla. — One child died and two others were hospitalized when they were hit by a truck in Tampa.
An 11-year-old girl, 8-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl ran across the roadway just before 8 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of North 56th Street and Society Park Boulevard.
Troopers said a 34-year-old man driving a Chevy Silverado was driving southbound when he hit the three kids.
The 11-year-old and 8-year-old were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 7-year-old girl was also taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries, officials said.
No information about whether the driver is facing charges was released.Â
