It all comes down to this.
Indiana has a chance to cap off a perfect season on Monday night when they head to Miami to play the University of Miami. Despite the Hurricanes being in their own digs, Indiana is an 8.5-point favorite to win the game and finish 16-0.
Indiana is a rather hefty favorite in this game, so some bettors might opt to look towards the prop market instead. For those bettors, we’ve gone through some of our top player prop bets as well as anytime touchdown scorers.
Best player prop bets for Miami vs. IndianaMalachi Toney over 61.5 receiving yards (-110 at DraftKings)Omar Cooper Jr. to score a touchdown (+140 at BetMGM)CharMar Brown to score a touchdown (+300 at FanDuel)Malachi Toney receiving yards
Odds: -110 at DraftKings
Miami is going to have to throw the ball if they want any chance of winning this game. Thankfully, they boast one of the best offensive lines in the nation and as a result, their passing attack was top ten this past season.
In terms of receivers, the Hurricanes’ offense goes through Malachi Toney. The freshman exploded onto the scene by posting 82 yards and a touchdown in Miami’s season opening win against Notre Dame. Since then, he’s had 60+ receiving yards nine times, including an 81-yard performance in the semi-final against Ole Miss.
Expect a lot of forced touches for Toney, as he is dangerous with the ball after the catch and can make people miss.
Omar Cooper Jr. anytime TD scorer
Odds: +140 at BetMGM
It’s hard to pick one singular Indiana player to score, as they have five or six offensive weapons that find the end zone on a consistent basis.
However, when you factor in recent performance as well as the odds, Omar Cooper Jr. is the name that jumps off the page.
Through 14 games, Cooper has 14 touchdowns. He has scored in six consecutive games, and the last time he was held out of the end zone was in October. He’s a favorite red zone target for Fernando Mendoza.
To make this bet even more appealing, you can get solid plus-money odds on him to find the end-zone.
CharMar Brown anytime TD scorer
Odds: +300 at FanDuel
CharMar Brown serves as the No. 2 running back in the Miami offense behind Mark Fletcher, which explains the +300 odds on him to score in the national championship game.
With that being said, Brown has 138 touches on the year and has found the end zone nine times. Most notably, he has scored in both playoff games and four of his last five games.
Brown has come in on the goal line and vultured a few touchdowns from Fletcher. At +300 odds, we like this bet on a running back who is very involved and has a nose for the end zone.
