The Florida State Seminoles have wrapped up an eventful weekend of hosting potential prospects during their Junior Day event. One of them was offensive lineman Shavezz Dixon, a three-star recruit who was once committed to the Ole Miss Rebels.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder left Tallahassee with an offer from the Seminoles. As he looks for programs to separate themselves from others, Dixon mentioned how FSU has made a huge impression on him.

“They standout because of my relationships with the staff and me making my decision based off of who I have the stronger relationships with matters,” Dixon said via Rivals.

Dixon is ranked as the No. 522 player nationally and the No. 42 interior offensive lineman in the Rivals industry ranking. He’s also listed as the No. 61 prospect out of Georgia.

This past weekend was the first trip for Dixon to Tallahassee. With an offer now in place, it’s clear that the coaching staff, specifically offensive line coach Herb Hand, is more than comfortable with Dixon and sees him as a fit.

Dixon feels the same way about the possibility of wearing the Garnet and Gold in the future.

“My experience was amazing,” said Dixon on Saturday. “I had a great time at FSU today. What excites me about the staff is how much support they’ve shown me today and the intense love and I definitely would want to play for the staff because of how everyone is a players coach. It was genuinely an amazing time.”

2027 blue-chip linebacker commit Gregory Batson is high school teammates with Dixon, and he was also on campus over the weekend. He will be helping lay the groundwork for Dixon to pledge to the Seminoles as well.
