The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) will host a film screening of “The Little Things That Run the World” on Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Bailey Homestead Preserve, at 1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Attendees will learn about the evolution and ecology of flying insects and their recent declines that are causing ripple effects on global biodiversity. The 2025 award-winning documentary was produced by SCCF Trustee Sandra Gross, who will be on site for a post-film Q&A with co-producer and director Doug Hawes-Davis. The event is free, but tickets are required. For tickets or more information, visit https://kinema.com/events/THE-LITTLE-THINGS-THAT-RUN-THE-WORLD-krtfdm/tickets.
