ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando police officer is now under investigation after a crash over the weekend, according to the department.
In a release, police said the crash happened early Sunday morning at the intersection of South Semoran Boulevard and Hoffner Avenue.
While few details about the crash have been provided at this point in time, police said that the department has launched an internal investigation into an officer involved in the crash.

“In addition to the preliminary accident investigation conducted at the scene, a comprehensive Traffic Homicide investigation is also underway,” the release reads. “Both the internal review of the officer’s actions and the Traffic Homicide investigation remain ongoing and have not yet been completed.”
