Flight cancellations seen across the U.S. and South Florida due to winter storm – NBC 6 South Florida

As a powerful winter storm spreads across the U.S., travelers are seeing their flights being canceled and delayed, even at South Florida airports.

More than 10,000 flights have been canceled nationwide.

Over at Miami International Airport, there have been 100 delays and 248 cancellations, while at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, there have been 51 delays and 248 cancellations.

Due to the winter storm, 23 states from the South to the Northeast have been placed under a state of emergency, and there have been two reported deaths from Caddo Parish, Louisiana.
