Agency Access Q&A
What first drew you to Priority Marketing?
“I was drawn to Priority Marketing because of the people, the culture and the purpose. From the beginning, it was clear that this was a team that values smart strategy, creativity and genuine relationships. As a full-service agency, there is constant opportunity to learn from talented peers across every aspect of marketing, which pushes you to grow. My background before I joined was in health care and fundraising, so giving back has always been important to me. I love that more than 30% of Priority Marketing’s clients are nonprofits, and that mentoring and supporting others is encouraged, both within the agency and through board and committee involvement in the community.”
Why should businesses and nonprofits partner with Priority Marketing?
“We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all marketing. Instead, we take the time to understand each client’s goals, challenges and audiences, then build integrated strategies that actually move the needle. Whether it’s a business focused on growth or a nonprofit focused on impact, our team brings senior-level thinking, collaboration across disciplines and a true partnership mindset to every engagement.”
How do you define a successful event?
“A successful event is one where every detail supports a clear purpose. It’s not just about flawless execution… it’s about whether the event advanced the organization’s goals, engaged the right audiences and created a meaningful experience people remember long after it ends. When strategy, storytelling, logistics and emotion all align, that’s when an event really succeeds.”
What detail do organizations often overlook when planning an event?
“The importance of logistics and follow-up. A successful event is not just about throwing a party. You have a captivated audience, so every detail – from run of show to timing to attendee flow – should be intentional and used wisely. Just as important is what happens after the event. How attendees are thanked, engaged and guided to the next step determines whether the event creates a lasting impact. Events should always connect to broader marketing and communication efforts.”
Why is strategy so important in marketing?
“Strategy is what turns activity into impact. Without it, marketing becomes a checklist of tactics instead of a cohesive plan. Our approach is rooted in Creative Logic, where creativity is always guided by strategy and data. A clear strategy ensures every decision, from messaging to channels to timing, is intentional, aligned with goals and grounded in understanding the audience. It’s the foundation that allows creativity and execution to truly work.”
