Broward’s high school graduations in 2026 will look a lot like those in 2025.
The school district released an updated list on Wednesday of graduation dates, times and venues for its ceremonies, which will be held from May 28 to June 3. High school gymnasiums will not be used for the vast majority of schools, although Pompano Beach High will continue a yearslong tradition of holding its graduation inside its gym.
Most graduation ceremonies will be held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Lauderhill Performing Arts Center, Nova Southeastern University’s Don Taft Center and Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, the same venues as last year.
The three largest will be held at Hard Rock: Cypress Bay High in Weston, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in Parkland and Western High in Davie.
Western was at Hard Rock last year, but had been moved to a smaller NSU venue during the initially released 2026 schedule. Now the district plans to hold all three at Hard Rock Live on the same day, June 1.
The school district had announced earlier this month it planned to hold most of the 44 graduations in the gyms of Pompano Beach High, Blanche Ely High in Pompano Beach and Dillard High in Fort Lauderdale, an idea that was widely panned by graduates and their parents. The eleven largest were still planned for pricey external venues, leading to complaints of inequities.
“Following feedback from School Board members and the community, the revised graduation schedule for the Class of 2026 has been updated,” a message on the website states. “All schools will host their 2026 commencement ceremonies in the same venues as their 2025 ceremonies.”
An exception is Everglades High School in Miramar, which was at Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale last year and is at the larger Don Taft Center at NSU in Davie.
In addition to the venues, the dates and times have changed for many of the ceremonies, compared to the initially released list. The new schedule can be found at browardschools.com/2026grads.
