The snow was short lived in Florida’s capital city on Jan. 31, 2026.
Some could count the flakes whizzing by as gusty winds ushered in the coldest weather Tallahassee has seen in years. Others enjoyed a frenzy of flurries and whipped out their cameras to catch the Sunshine State unicorn.
While the post-mortem that comes after the thaw will reveal there was barely a trace of wintery precipitation, it was enough to fill a Floridian’s heart and soul for the season.
