Forecasters say the coming week and weekend will be cool and mostly sunny. And there’s another cold front on the way, but we won’t experience the record-breaking chills of last weekend.
National Weather Service meteorologist Anthony Reynes said that overnight lows “will be several degrees warmer. … We’ll be closer to the upper 30s and lower 40s.”
That trend will continue through Wednesday, with daytime temperatures warming to the low 70s and overnight lows hovering in the mid-50s on the coast. Inland areas will be slightly cooler.
A cold front will hit South Florida on Thursday, but won’t have the power of the bomb cyclone behind it.

“Scattered showers are possible overnight Wednesday into early Thursday before the front crosses the area and brings another round of cooler weather into the region, albeit not nearly as cold as this last airmass,” the weather service said.
Reynes said the bomb cyclone weather pattern, in which the cyclonic motion of a large storm off the Carolinas pulled arctic air south, has moved away, lowering its impact on Florida. “It’s not going to have the power to push that arctic air mass further down to Florida,” Reynes said.
Winds will pick back up Thursday with gusts up to 20 mph. Friday temperatures will drop due to the front passing through, with wind-chill lows dropping again into the high 30s. Saturday’s minimum apparent temperatures will rise slightly to the low 40s.
Saturday and Sunday look to be sunny with highs in the mid-70s and overnight lows around 50.
