An upcoming fundraiser will support cancer-related needs for members of the island community.

The San Cap Pink Project will host its 2026 Galentine’s Pink Tea Party on Feb. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel. Emceed by Gulf Coast News anchor Lisa Spooner, it will feature a live auction and raffle items, fashion show, music, food and drinks, and more.

“It’s an event that brings the community together,” organization Board President Ann Neubauer said. “It’s designed to celebrate friendship, connection and support for a cause close to home.”

The proceeds will support the San Cap Pink Project.

“It is a fundraiser for our organization, but it really offers an opportunity for the community to come together,” she said.

The San Cap Pink Project raises monies to put back into the Sanibel and Captiva community for individuals who are uninsured, underinsured or challenged with expenses beyond insurance.

“It also supports individuals with care packages, car rides to appointments and any other kind of need that we can help with,” organization founder Mary Bondurant said, noting that this past year they supported people in all of those areas, including being able to cover rent for those in need.

With family and friends who have faced cancer, Spooner has previously served as the event emcee.

“We are grateful for her participation,” Neubauer said. “She is a big supporter of our mission. This is a cause that is close to her heart.”

The live auction will be led by Spooner and co-auctioneer and island artist Rachel Pierce.

“We’re going to keep it to about six,” Bondurant said of the items that will be up for grabs. “We have boating excursions. We have artwork. We have resort stays and some spa packages.”

Dozens of more items will be raffled off via tickets.

“There’s going to be fashion. There’s going to be restaurant gift cards, beauty items, health items, sporting items,” Bondurant said. “A wonderful array of all sorts of items from our island community.”

J.McLaughlin on Captiva will present the fashion show with store manager Alison Davis.

“The theme is their pink collection,” Bondurant said.

“Which is their new spring line,” Neubauer added.

A handful of models, including Spooner, will show off the featured outfits.

“Several of the San Cap Pink Project committee members are going to be models,” Bondurant noted.

Music will be provided by Paul Romus.

“He’s a well-known local musician,” Neubauer said. “He’ll be playing his flute.”

Classic high tea food and drinks will be served up, such as finger sandwiches and pastries. For an additional donation, attendees can enjoy champagne that will be available from the bubbly bar.

“We have a photo booth to gather, especially for Valentine’s Day, special photos,” Bondurant said.

“We also have a surprise presentation by Kay Casperson,” she added.

Event supporters include: Sundial as the venue sponsor; MHK Architecture as the music sponsor; Phaidra McDermott, with Kingfisher Real Estate and Vacation Rentals, as the bubbly bar sponsor; A Bit of Bailey’s as the bubbly wine sponsor; R.L.R. Investments as the photo booth sponsor; and the Bondurant Team at Kingfisher as the centerpieces sponsor.

“Both Ann and I would like to thank the sponsors — and everyone in the community who has participated in all of our events,” Bondurant said.

“We’ve had such incredible, continuous support from so many people in the community, and that is very important to our organization and very heartwarming,” Neubauer added.

Tickets are $75 per person.

Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance when securing an event ticket or at the event.

The community is invited to come and take part.

“Every day someone in our community is hearing the word cancer,” Bondurant said. “Through our mission, we’re able to help, support and love them through their journey.”
