Planet Skate is a new, veteran-owned roller skating and family fun center on Jacksonville’s Northside, located at 9441 Lem Turner Road in a 20,000‑square‑foot building that includes a 7,000‑square‑foot roller rink. Opened in November 2025, it is the first skating rink built on the Northside in more than 30 years, bringing a long-missing indoor recreation option back to the community. The rink features updated lighting, an enhanced sound system, glow-in-the-dark décor, and two skating floors, with plans for a full arcade lineup to create a safe, fun space for kids, teens, and adults. Owned by retired Florida National Guard Chief Master Sergeant Terry Harris, Planet Skate focuses on being a community hub with public skate sessions, themed nights, private parties, and upcoming youth and after-school programs aimed at giving Northside families a positive place to gather.
