JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department is responding to a woods fire in the area of New Kings Road and Edgewood Avenue.
JFRD says the fire is under control, but crews remain on scene to ensure no hot spots reignite.
They are asking people to be mindful of the dry conditions and use caution with anything that can cause sparks outdoors.

The department has worked multiple wildfires in recent days, including a more than 100-acre fire in Baker County Wednesday.
After responding to a separate woods fire in Jacksonville on Tuesday, the department issued a reminder that unpermitted outside burning is not allowed in Duval County.
