If you’ve passed by 2335 N Miami Avenue lately, you may have noticed some work being done where Oasis Wynwood used to be before it unexpectedly shut its doors. And if you’ve been looking forward to finding out what’s coming to the space, we’re here to introduce you to Thrōw Social!
Described as an “eatertainment” venue blending chef-driven cuisine with five bars, interactive games and live DJs as well as bands, this social destination is sure to be a hit for those looking to unwind on a night out with friends. Just in time for Miami Art Week, the 35,000-square-foot venue is expected to open this November.
While some aspects of the space may appear similar to Oasis, it aims to build up on its legacy and the many global acts that graced its very stage, from Tiësto to Steve Aioki. The outdoor courtyard will feature new additions like 10 luxury cabanas, three full-service bars and a motorized pergola to truly enjoy your time, whether it rains or shines. The existing stage will also feature an oversized, 28-foot LED screen for live entertainment.

The unique “Tower Bar” made from shipping containers remains, just sporting a new tropical design! Throughout Thrōw Social, guests can choose from signature cocktails like the Pink Flamingo and Blue Hawaiian, or the Patrón Margarita Tree, served in a playful presentation that lets them mix and match flavors.

Indoors, a 275-seat lounge will mix a vibrant, yet laid-back design with warm pendant lighting to create a resort-like atmosphere. There’s also the Palm Room, a private enclave for up to 55 guests, as well as the tucked-away Indigo Garden with its own patio seating and bar.
Keeping the fun going, LED ping pong, corn hole, shuffleboard and other games will be available for free play.

Highlights at the upcoming social destination include “Flamazing Appetizers” like coconut shrimp served with mango chutney or the Thrōw Sampler, a combo platter with mac & cheese bites, coconut shrimp, sweet potato tots and wings. You also can’t go wrong with the Jerk Chicken Sandwich or Throw Burger served with a tomato & bacon jam.

Their “Fabulous Flatbreads” range from Classic margherita and Three Cheese to chef-inspired like their OPP (onion, prosciutto and pineapple), all available with vegan and gluten-free crust options. The indulgent lineup rounds out with fresh salads and playful specials like the Adult Happy Meal, a house burger and fries packed in a pink box alongside their Painkiller cocktail in a pineapple cup.

On weekends, they’ll serve sweet and savory brunch delights, from the Full Breakfast Thrōw-down (full plate of bacon, eggs, toast and breakfast potatoes) to the Loaded Egg Sandwich (stacked with a fried egg, cheddar cheese, bacon and avocado). Because it can’t be a proper brunch without them, you can sip on bottomless mimosas and bellinis, of course.
You might recognize the Thrōw Social name from its sister locations in Delray Beach or Washington, D.C. The Wynwood concept is the latest endeavor from The Ginger Brands, an experiential entertainment company founded by award-winning entrepreneur Flesher-Sonnier.
“What sets this location apart is the incredible transformation we’ve made to the space with major additions and thoughtful enhancements that elevate the experience,” Flesher-Sonnier said in a release.

Thrōw Social will open to all ages by day and adults 21+ beginning at 9 p.m. nightly. Hours will be Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 a.m. Happy Hour will also be available on weekdays until 7 p.m.
