Missing person Patrick Slade Boothe, 51, has been found dead earlier today, Feb. 4, according to Jacksonville police chief Marcus Wood. Before this, Boothe had last been seen leaving the area of Parker Place SW in Jacksonville on Jan. 23.

The parties involved in Boothe’s death are reportedly in custody. Due to the ongoing investigation into Boothe’s death, the Jacksonville Police Department can’t release any more information at this time. More information will be available to the public as soon as possible.

Law enforcement agencies involved in this investigation include the Oxford Police Department, Oxford Aviation Unit and the East Metro Area Crime Center; the Calhoun/Cleburne Violent Crimes Task Force; the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office; the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office and Talladega County Drug Task Force; the Pell City Police Department; the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office; the Alabama Game & Fish Division; the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency; and the FBI.
