SESCO Cement has activated its Port Tampa Bay facility with the delivery and installation of a custom ship unloader, completing a major step in its Florida expansion.

The equipment arrived after a 25-day voyage from Egypt following nearly two years of design and engineering.

The unloader enables full-scale bulk cement operations in the Port Redwing area, supporting Florida’s growing construction sector. SESCO is hiring locally and expects 25 Tampa employees by April.

The facility will also handle crushed limestone aggregate and is projected to move up to 700,000 tons of material by the end of 2026, serving regional markets nationwide.
