The “Peter Ordway” Paddling Tour season has recommenced and the next outing will be held on Sunday, February 8th, departing from the County’s commercial boat ramp (at the west end of Maria Drive) at 9 am. All interested paddlers are invited. Paddlers may wish to bring their PFD, bug spray, sun protection, water and a snack. Rentals may not be available; if you need to borrow a kayak, please advise Jim. The guided tour will explore Demere Key and then travel north towards Panther Key. Post-paddle lunch options will be discussed.

The Calusa Land Trust is Pine Island’s all volunteer land conservancy, which sponsors events for public education and enjoyment. Since the County charges a $10 parking fee CLT is discounting the traditional fundraising tour fees such that members are free and non-members only pay $10. New membership forms will be available.
