JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — A Jacksonville man has been arrested and charged in connection with a domestic violence assault involving a pregnant woman, according to arrest warrants.
Braelin Ellis Anderson, 21, was taken into custody Thursday, Feb. 5, by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office. He faces charges of assault by strangulation, misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, and battery of an unborn child.
According to online court records, Anderson is accused of assaulting a woman he knew by shoving her to the ground and strangling her.
Authorities further allege that Anderson was aware the woman was pregnant at the time of the assault.
He remains in custody at the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office under a secured bond.
