Mansion rentals. Expensive diamond jewelry. A cross-country private jet flight. Broward Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Beach detectives say a fraud suspect used someone else’s money to acquire those items, similar to the jewelry items pictured above, and live the high life during the spring and summer of 2025. That fraud suspect is now locked up.

Keshon Litesha Rivers is accused of operating a scheme from May to August 2025 to steal more than $1.2 million from the owners of Event Décor Direct in Deerfield Beach. According to detectives, Rivers owned a business, Lock and Key Designs, and had a working relationship with Event Décor Direct while she was stealing money from them. To further the ruse, detectives say Rivers even created a fictitious individual who, when questioned, she blamed for the fraudulent credit card charges. Detectives determined that person does not exist.

Following a months-long investigation, BSO detectives determined Rivers made dozens of fraudulent transactions including more than $85,000 for gold and diamond jewelry, more than $55,000 for a private jet flight from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles and more than $43,000 for mansion home rentals in Miami Beach and Los Angeles.

BSO detectives developed probable cause for Rivers’ arrest on the Deerfield Beach case and took her into custody on Wednesday, Feb. 4. She is being held in the Broward County Main Jail without bond on charges of organized scheme to defraud, grand theft of more than $100,000 and money laundering.

According to investigators, Rivers is on probation until 2030 on similar organized fraud charges out of Polk County.

As detectives continue to investigate this case, anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Detective Christopher Bradley at 954-480-4300.
