A woman accused of assaulting a Miami-Dade teacher was arrested, records showed.

Charlise Hurst, 19, was charged with battery on a specific official/employee and educational institution/interference/disrupt, Miami-Dade jail records showed.

During her court hearing on Saturday, the judge reprimanded Hurst for her attitude.

“‘Mhmm’ is not the way to be respectful to a judge,” the judge said. “You’re already in jail for the night for your disrespect. I suggest you change your attitude.”

Hurst was given a $2,650 bond.

NBC6 has reached out to authorities for details on Hurst’s arrest, as well as Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
