SANFORD, Fla. — The Orlando Air Show, originally scheduled for Oct. 25 and 26 at Orlando Sanford International Airport, has been canceled.
Organizers say it is due to the ongoing government shutdown, resulting in the withdrawal of U.S. military participation.
They say they attempted to continue with an all-civilian lineup but faced significantly increased public safety costs, making it unfeasible to hold the event.
2025 ticket holders will be able to defer their tickets to 2026 or request a refund.
Several acts that intended to fly included the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, Navy F-18 Super Hornet, P-51 Mustang, T-38 Talons and aerobatic pilot Michael Goulian.
