PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — An investigation by detectives led to the arrest of a man in Pinellas Park for possession and distribution of child pornography.
Austin Conroy-Hourigan, 26, from Largo, was booked by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office into the Pinellas County Jail Tuesday evening, records show.
“Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit” led the arrest, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).
“Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect,” deputies said. “According to detectives, the images were of children between the ages of eight and twelve years old.”
Investigators began their inquiries after they received information about child pornography being accessed and shared online, according to PCSO.
Conroy-Hourigan has been charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography and seven more for transmission, deputies said.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
