STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — The Education Foundation of Martin County is preparing to honor outstanding educators at its annual Teacher of the Year Awards Celebration on Nov. 14.

Vanessa Molina-Council of Citrus Grove Elementary, named the Martin County Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025, stopped by ARC Florida along with Lisa Rhodes, Executive Director of the Martin County Education Foundation.

The program invites every public school in the county to nominate a Teacher of the Year candidate, with 24 candidates selected this year.

Winners will be announced in elementary, middle, and high school categories, with one overall winner advancing to the state competition.

The event also features a Spirit Award for the school with the most creative and energetic participation.

Community members are encouraged to vote for their favorite teacher, sharing how the educator has positively impacted their lives, here.

Voting is open until Nov. 1, with the community choice influencing the final decision.
