If you’re in on the Daiso craze, you’re not alone! This Japanese retailer is known for its unique range of products at a lower cost, carrying everything from beauty supplies to stationery and international snacks. It’s often compared to a “dollar store” with better quality.
And for those who are enthusiastic, exciting news: the shop opened its first Kendall location over the weekend!
Located at 13840 SW 88th Street (in Higate Square), its debut garnered quite the crowd on opening day with videos showing lines wrapping around the shopping plaza as visitors waited for a chance to walk inside.
The family-owned, 100-yen style store sells a wide range of household goods, cosmetics, kitchenware, seasonal decor and other general merchandise. More traditional Japanese items can also be found here, such as calligraphy tools, obento products, sensu fans and more.
The new Daiso is open from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. This is their second Miami location, with the first in Miami Gardens.
And while the company currently operates over 6,000 stores worldwide, a third Miami location is expected to pop up early this year. The next opening is planned for Flagler Park Plaza, according to their website.
