Florida State wide receiver signee Efrem White is coming off an extremely productive senior season at Vero Beach High School in Florida. He scored a touchdown as a receiver, threw one as a quarterback, and also ran for a score in a nail-biting 28-27 loss against Lake Mary in the state title game.
After playing receiver for two years, White took over quarterback duties after the starter at Vero Beach got injured. He would finish with 2,581 passing yards and 32 touchdowns. White also put up 977 rushing yards and 22 scores plus another 188 yards receiving and a touchdown.
Now that White is in Tallahassee, the focus will shift back to the reciever position. Luckily, White is coming into a situation where he has a very solid veteran to learn from in All-ACC performer Duce Robinson. The 6-foot-2, 160-pounder spoke on what it’s like grinding with Robinson since he’s gotten to campus.
“He is like the team leader,” White said via Warchant. “Just working behind him, learning from him, learning where I need to be, learning how I need to do things. It’s great, and it makes everything much easier.”
FSU has been on its Tour of Duty, which is a strength and conditioning program that the Seminoles engage in through the month of February. Players go through drills, work on change of direction, and participate in early-morning workouts during this time.
Despite this being his first Tour of Duty, White is already standing out amongst all the talent that Florida State has at the receiver position, according to Brendan Sonnone of Noles247.
“And Freshman EJ White was described as a “freak” in terms of how fluidly he moves. He’s thin. We’ll see how he does with the pads on. But he’s distinguishing himself from other newcomers right now.”
White is one of several receivers who have a chance to make an impact as a freshman in 2026, along with blue-chip prospects Jasen Lopez and Devin Carter, as well as three-star Darryon Williams.
