After a disappointing 5-7 season and a declined bowl invite by the 2025 Florida State Seminoles, fans are looking to 2026 for a better year.

Brett McMurphy of On3 has published numerous bowl game projections, and in his newest piece, he predicts that the Seminoles will play in the Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando, Florida, facing the Cincinnati Bearcats. Previously, the Seminoles defeated the Oklahoma Sooners at Camping World Stadium in 2022 after a 9-3 season.

In their last bowl game appearance in 2023, the Georgia Bulldogs crushed the Seminoles in the Orange Bowl, 63-3. Mike Norvell is 1-5 in all of his bowl game appearances, and 1-1 in Florida State’s bowl games. In their history, Florida State 28-17-2 in 47 bowl games.

It remains to be seen whether either of these predictions will come to fruition in the end against a notably tough ACC and out-of-conference schedule.
