Bobbie Jo Gordon, Lucas Gordon and Karen Fedyszyn opened Island Time Vibez on Dec. 18. The 21 and older store is a smoke shop, Fedyszyn said, however, she said, they carry a very diverse supply of products, including adult toys and even CBD products for pets.
In addition, they carry Incense, aroma therapy products, apothecary and natural remedies.
“We sell vapes, 420 gear, CBD, THCA,THCA beverages, Kava and a mushroom-based drink called Magic Dose, Torch, Mitra9 and White Rabbit-we also carry detox. We have a whole apothecary of natural remedies for lung health. A lot of people smoke and vape, so taking care of your lungs is important,” Fedyszyn said.
THCA is a legal, recreational derivative of medical marijuana, however, a less potent version, she explained. The owners say they are trying to build a rapport with Pine Islanders, by keeping things they want on hand to alleviate the need to leave the island. Folks are helping build the inventory carried by the store by reporting back to the owners on product choice and preferences.
“Personally, I think that we are saving marriages in bedrooms all over Pine Island. Also, we do want to cater to the island. We do have a customer request book and we do order specifically for customers. If there’s something that we don’t have, people let us know and leave their name and number with us, so we order it and call them when it’s here,” Gordon said.
Both Gordon and Fedyszyn agree that their biggest hope in opening the store is filling a needed void. When a customer came in looking for a specific vape in order to use a holistic product, satisfying the need to vape and also keeping their lungs detoxed, they confess that they love being able to succeed at filling that need.
They also want the community to know they are locally owned and operated serving islanders seven days a week to deliver the best “vibez” to the island.
“We saw a need to have these things on the island. We wanted to bring these things to the community so that their needs are met. We’re looking to be a resource for construction workers who leave at the crack of dawn, fishermen who are going out, and people coming back home from work,” Fedyszyn said.

The shop is open Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
