INDIANTOWN, Fla. (CBS12) — Emergency crews were called to Indiantown Middle School on Wednesday after three students reported feeling unwell after eating THC-infused gummies.

According to the Martin County School District’s Public Information Officer, Martin County Fire Rescue responded to the scene. The students, who reportedly ingested the gummies during school hours, began experiencing unusual symptoms and alerted staff.

All three students were conscious and alert when they were transferred to a local hospital for further evaluation, according to the school district.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into the incident. Officials confirmed that the school administration has identified the person responsible for distributing the gummies to the students.
