TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – More than two dozen dogs and eight cats were adopted during last weekend’s Smooches with Pooches event- including three dogs featured on Furry Friday just last week!
WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center team up each week to shine a spotlight on four adoptable dogs in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever homes, faster!
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET QUAN
Quan covers plenty of ground with his little legs and is quite the social butterfly!(WCTV)

This lab-basset hound mix is into speed walking and following his nose! So many smells, so little time!
Quan covers plenty of ground with his little legs and is quite the social butterfly! He has lots of dog friends and people friends and would love to do life with both by his side!
Quan isn’t into kennels or being cooped up. He loves to play and is hoping his active, affectionate fur-ever family is right around the corner!

MEET YURI
Yuri is an avid outdoorsman who likes long walks and extended snuggles!(WCTV)
Meet Yuri!
This fine fella loves nothing better than to get out of his kennel and into the sweet sunshine.
It makes him feel like a whole new man!
Yuri likes fresh air and the feel of grass beneath his feet. The avid outdoorsman likes long walks and extended snuggles.
The two year old has a luxurious coat and ultra expressive yes to match!
Yuri is looking for a active, affectionate family with a little patience, a lot of heart and a whole lot of backyard where he can relax and be his best self!

MEET WHISPER
Whisper has been waiting for her fur-ever family since October. She’s more than ready to go home with you! (WCTV)

This caramel cutie is a natural beauty.
Whisper likes calm, cool people and really digs the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors.
Long walks, bird watching, squirrel chasing – she’s up for all of it!
But Whisper definitely has a soft side. She likes being snuggled and carried.
Whisper has been waiting a long time for her fur-ever family. Her brother was adopted soon after they arrived at the shelter in September, but Whisper is still there.
She’s hoping her dream family is out there right now watching Furry Friday!

MEET MISTY
Misty is a sweetheart looking for a sweetheart of an owner that can stick by her side for life!(WCTV)
Meet Misty!
This two year old is all about trust and companionship.
Misty is shy at first, but warms up quickly. Her little tail starts wagging and she’s good to go!
Misty loves treats. She likes to call them “cookies.”
Our walk started with Misty cautiously checking out our camera and trying to hide behind and between the legs of Miss Marti, one of the shelter’s best dog walkers.
But that didn’t last. The ear rubs were just too good.
Misty has been wagging and waiting at the shelter since October.
She’s looking for a sweetheart of an owner that can stick by her side for life!

MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
You can walk through the kennels Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
