If you’ve ever stared into the fluorescent abyss of a drive-thru menu and thought, “Sure, I could get a salad… but it’ll taste like punishment,” Tampa Bay’s homegrown Greenlane has built its whole personality around proving you wrong. The drive-thru-only salad and wrap spot is opening its fifth Tampa Bay location in the Wesley Chapel area on Wednesday, February 25, and it’s bringing a first for the brand: a dedicated mobile-order drive-thru lane, so your phone can place the order before your brain remembers that you own groceries. Order ahead, pull into the new lane, and pretend you’re in a salad pit crew.

The new outpost lands just west of Tampa Premium Outlets at 24801 State Road 54, listed on Greenlane’s site as the Cypress Creek location. It’s close enough to outlet shopping that you can buy a discounted sweater you don’t need, then immediately “balance it out” with a wrap. That’s wellness, and also denial with lettuce.

Greenlane launched in Tampa in 2023 and has expanded with a very specific promise: fast, fresh, and affordable enough that you can actually come back tomorrow. Co-founder Erica Spector Wishnow has described the concept as built for people stuck in the car all day who still want something that doesn’t feel like a compromise. As the company continues to grow, it’s already spread across Tampa Bay with locations in West Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Lutz.

Salads that won’t make you sad

Menu-wise, expect the usual Greenlane lineup of build-your-own salads and wraps, which are essentially Chipotle-style but for people who would like to feel virtuous while still eating something substantial. You pick a base, load it with greens, grains, roasted veggies, crunchy toppings, cheeses, and then choose proteins like grilled chicken or tofu, all finished with house dressings that range from bright and citrusy to creamy enough to make you momentarily forget you ordered something “healthy.”

Protein boxes offer a more snackable route, packing items like hummus, fresh vegetables, fruit, nuts, cheeses, and lean meats into tidy compartments that make you feel like an adult who has their life together. There are also smaller grab-and-go options, including energy bites, yogurt-style treats, and packaged snacks that won’t immediately undo your gym membership.

Drinks go beyond the standard fountain routine. In addition to bottled beverages and low-sugar options, Greenlane has been heavily promoting the neon-pink “Pink Star” energy drink, a collaboration with Tampa-based STORM Healthy Energy that leans into candy-like flavor without the sugar crash.

If you’re planning your visit, most locations operate roughly 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., which conveniently covers lunch, dinner, and that dangerous late-afternoon window when you realize your body is powered entirely by coffee and vibes.

Want an excuse to test-drive that new lane? Greenlane says it’ll host a grand opening event on Tuesday, March 10, with any salad or wrap (with chicken or tofu) for $6. Consider it your chance to celebrate the rarest thing in modern life: convenience that’s actually convenient.
