JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A Jacksonville woman was taken into custody after police responded to a report of shots fired and discovered that it happened during a home invasion.
Lt. Sean Haefeli with the Jacksonville Police Department said officers responded to the 400 block of S. Mauvaisterre around 9 p.m. on Saturday. While police were investigating the reported shots fired, they learned that a gun had been shot inside a home during a home invasion.

No one was hurt. Haefeli said officers found a suspect, identified as Tynajah M. Lane of Jacksonville, and took her into custody without incident. Lane was arrested for home invasion and aggravated assault and is being held at the Morgan County Detention Facility.
Police believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no further threat to the public. The incident remains under investigation.
