Waymo, the rideshare service with self-driving cars, is now available in select areas of Orlando, Fla., as well as three additional cities.

Following a testing period, Waymo officially began servicing Orlando on Feb. 23, 2026. Waymo also added Texas cities Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio to its roster on the same date (see the full list of Waymo cities below).

Map of where Waymo drives in Orlando
Waymo’s services mostly follow I4 and select areas immediately surrounding I4 (see map below), stretching from I4’s downtown Orlando pass-through and continuing to where I4 intersects with Apopka-Vineland Road, south of SeaWorld Orlando.
Within this area, Waymo can drive you to Universal Orlando Resort (both its original campus and Epic Universe), SeaWorld Orlando, Icon Park, and many attractions in the I-Drive area.

That being said, Waymo is still communicating with local attractions about ideal drop-off and pick-up locations. The company advises double-checking the drop-off locations before you book, just to make sure it’s taking you close enough to where you can walk. This is just in case Waymo doesn’t work something out with, say, Universal, and the Waymo car tries to drop you off somewhere close to Universal, but not ideally walkable to CityWalk.

Waymo in Orlando does not travel to Walt Disney World or the Orlando International Airport (MCO), but a representative from the company told Attractions Magazine that both destinations are “important expansion areas” for Waymo in the future.
How to ride in a Waymo car in Orlando
The only way to ride in a Waymo self-driving car in Orlando is by invite via the Waymo app. If you’ve downloaded the app in Orlando, you’re automatically on the waitlist to receive an invitation.
Waymo selected the first riders today and will continue to invite “new riders on a rolling basis … as we meaningfully scale our operations ahead of opening our service to everyone later this year.”
To be eligible for an invite, riders must have the Waymo app.

This same procedure applies for Orlando, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio for the time being.
Waymo is partnering with local organizations in each new city “to ensure our service meets the diverse needs of their residents.” In Orlando, that’s Lighthouse Central Florida, an organization for individuals with vision loss.
